The Incorporated Village of Hempstead (the "VILLAGE") is distributing a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking the professional services of a Security·Services Company to work directly with the VILLAGE. The CONTRACTOR shall provide the VILLAGE with a wide range of security services to include, but not limited to the provision of a safe, secure environment at Village Hall for Village Employees and all visitors. The responsibilities of the CONTRACTOR shall include, but shall not be limited to; the operation and enforcement of a system of personnel security; provide escort services for VILLAGE employees between Village Hall and parking lots; observe building occupants and visitors for non-compliance with posted rules and regulations; maintain law and order within the area of assignment; provide protection of individuals and/or property from harm, theft or other unlawful activity; deter, observe, detect and/or report persons attempting to gain unauthorized access to property; report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair (i.e. inoperative lights, leaky faucets, toilet stoppages, broken or slippery floor surfaces, etc.); prepare incident reports on (including, but not limited to) accidents, fires, bomb threats, thefts, workplace violence or other unusual incidents/unlawful acts; and provide these reports to those officials as specified by the VILLAGE.
