This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
The installation of L3Harris mobile radios and Cradlepoints in our Fire and Police vehicles. The installation must adhere to the guidelines outlined in the installation manual (14221-1850-4000 Rev. E) provided by L3Harris Technologies. The City reserves the right to select the qualified firm and/or firms deemed most beneficial to the City.
Radios, Cradlepoints, and antennae will be provided by the City of Valdez. An indoor City location will be provided for on-site installation. The vendor will provide all necessary tools, equipment, and consumables.

Sealed bids will be accepted until 4pm local time on October 22, 2025 , through an electronic dropbox.
The bids will be publicly opened and read at that time.

Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required.
The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a bid and to reject any and all bids without cause.
Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.
Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City.
