RFP #26-12 PW Janitorial Services for County Facilities

The County Commissioners of Kent County, Maryland, a body corporate, politic and a political subdivision of the State of Maryland (the “County”) is requesting proposals in accordance with Chapter 49 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County (CPLL) from from qualified firms to provide professional janitorial services for designated County facilities.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, and cleaning chemicals necessary to perform janitorial services for the designated County facilities listed herein. Services shall be performed five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, after normal business hours. Work shall begin no earlier than 5:00 PM unless otherwise approved in writing by Public Works. Services shall not be required on officially observed County holidays. No weekend services are required unless separately authorized in writing by Public Works. The Contractor shall be responsible for all transportation of personnel, equipment, and supplies between facilities. All associated costs shall be included in the Contractor’s pricing.

All questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing or via email to Carrie Klein, Deputy Director of Public Works, at cklein@kentgov.org, no later than 4:00 p.m. on May  9, 2026. Responses to questions will be issued by written addendum.

Sealed proposals must be received no later than 11:00 a.m. on May 22, 2026 , and will be publicly opened at that time at the Kent County Department of Public Works, 709 Morgnec Road, Chestertown, Maryland 21620.

Late proposals will not be accepted. Kent County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
