Alberta Electric System Operator
The AESO is seeking to enhance its Production Cost Modelling to address new requirements informed by the adoption of the Optimal Transmission Planning (“OTP”) framework and the Restructured Energy Market (“REM”). This RFP is an invitation by the AESO to prospective Bidders to submit proposals for the provision of an off-the-shelf tool (the “Product”) and related maintenance and support services (the “Services”) for a five-year term that will enable the AESO’s market simulation system to better reflect grid behavior and calculate the benefits of transmission development for OTP. More information on OTP can be found on the AESO’s website here: Optimal Transmission Planning (OTP) | AESO Engage. More information on REM can be found on the AESO’s website here: REM Technical Design | AESO Engage.
