Scope of Services
The Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) seeks a qualified FAA-certified helicopter operator to provide routine, planned aerial inspection flights of OUC’s transmission line assets. OUC employees will accompany the pilot in a 4-seat helicopter to perform data collection, photography, and visual inspection activities. OUC’s annual transmission power line inspections are typically conducted at slow ground speeds (less than 20 knots) and include periods of hovering time for OUC to perform infrared thermography inspections.
