This addendum will form a part of the RFP and modifies the original Request for
Proposal (RFP) document. The following changes take precedence over items in the
RFP. Portion of the RFP not changed by this Addendum remains in effect. Recipients of
the Addendum are advised to provide this Addendum to anyone to whom they further
distribute without the BAA’s knowledge.
Participants in this RFP are required to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in their
proposal. Failure to do so may subject Proposer for disqualification.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/CLARIFICATIONS/ATTCHMENTS
DESCRIBED BELOW:
1. Question: Can you mark the exact locations of the electrical rooms on the drawings?
Answer: No
2. Question: Is there 120-V power at the two roadway sign locations?
Answer: No. Only 480V
3. Question: Is the existing power for the lighting posts in the outdoor areas and rooftop on
a timer?
Answer: Roadway lights are switched on with a time clock. Rooftop lights are switched
with a photocell.
4. Question: After walking the parking garage, I noticed some dark areas especially in the
middle of the deck. To ensure optimum LPR accuracy and performance, the system
requires adequate lighting. Are there any plans to increase the lighting in the parking
deck?
Answer: Yes
5. Question: For the future maintenance of the parking system, does BAA prefer to train its
staff to perform maintenance with vendor support, or would BAA prefer the vendor to
provide the maintenance?
Answer: Train staff on Maintenance.
6. Question: Would it be possible to provide us with marked-up drawings showing the
desired locations for all exterior signage and a list of what information needs to be
displayed?
Answer: Not at this time.
7. Question: Would it be possible to provide us with marked-up drawings showing the
existing location of the electrical rooms, electrical panels, and a schedule of available
electrical circuits?
Answer: Not at this time.
8. Question: The RFP required vendors to attend the Mandatory prebid meeting. Please
confirm vendors who did not attend the prebid meeting will automatically be disqualified
from providing a Bid.
Answer: The Prebid was mandatory. If you did not attend the pre-submittal meeting,
you will not be allowed to send in a proposal.
9. Question: The RFP provides the AIA documentation:
Answer: Yes.
10. Question: Will this be the final drafted contract?
Answer: Yes
11. Question: Is liquidated damages required and if so what will be the damage value?
Answer: Yes. $2000 per day.
13. Question: How many 120V, 20-amp circuits are available for the parking system?
Answer: All 120v power in the parking deck is fed from 7 different 120v panels that are
all located on the 1st floor. Panel space availability is listed below:
Helix electrical room.
Normal power- 19 spaces Emergency power panel- 8 spaces
A1- 5 spaces
B1- 5 spaces
C1- 6 spaces
D1- 20 spaces
E1- 8 spaces
14. Question: Is the parking vendor required to provide a completely new overhead steel
structure to support the overhead sign or is the vendor expected to install a parking sign
displaying the total count for the parking garage as a whole on the existing overhead steel
structure?
Answer: Use existing structure.
15. Question: If the vendor is expected to install a digital sign on an existing overhead steel
structure, is there room for this new sign?
Answer: Yes.
