RFP # 4541 - ORAL FLUID DRUG TESTING 2025

A notification of issuance and a copy of this RFP will be sent to known Vendors. A notification of issuance of this RFP will be advertised in the Akron Beacon Journal. A copy will also be posted on the SCCS website, located at www.summitkids.org under the Bidding Opportunities Tab.

In order to ensure receipt of answers to questions submitted by other Vendors, Vendors are asked to register interest in submitting a Proposal. Registrations of Interest are due via e-mail to Jennifer Snyder, at jennifer.snyder@summitkids.org on or before October 17, 2025 at 12:00PM EST. Registrations of Interest are optional and non-binding. Submitting a Registration of Interest does not obligate the Vendor to submit a Proposal. However, only Vendors who have submitted registrations of interest will receive copies of questions and answers submitted by other Vendors.

Questions relating to this RFP must be RECEIVED by SCCS no later than 12:00PM EST on October 17, 2025. SCCS will not respond to questions received after this deadline. Questions received from vendors and SCCS’ responses will be sent via e-mail to all Vendors who have submitted a Registration of Interest.

Proposals must be RECEIVED by SCCS no later than 12:00PM EST onOctober 28, 2025. Two (2) hard copies and a flash drive of the complete and executed Proposal must be submitted by mail or hand delivery to Summit County Children Services, ATTN: Jennifer Snyder, Department Director of Family Services, at 264 S. Arlington, Akron, Ohio 44306. Proposals submitted after the deadline set for receipt will not be considered.Proposals should be labeled: “Response to RFP for Oral Fluid Drug Testing.” Proposals may not be submitted via e-mail, fax, or other electronic means.

Proposals will be opened publicly on October 28, 2025 at 12:00PM EST at SCCS, 264 S. Arlington St., Akron, Ohio 44306. The name of each proposing Vendor will be read aloud. No other information about the proposals will be announced at that time.

The Vendor awarded the contract will be notified of selection upon receipt of authorization by the Summit County Children Services Board of Trustees.

The contract is estimated to commence in January 1, 2026.
