NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

RFP No. 25252055 – Kalifornsky Beach Road Drainage Improvements Design Services

The Department intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional services for the Kalifornsky Beach Road Drainage Improvements project. This project will construct drainage improvements on Kalifornsky Beach Road from Buchanan Road to Milepost 15.4. Improvements will be consistent with on-going area drainage planning efforts. Additional improvements may include, as necessary, resurfacing, erosion protection, roadside hardware, signs and striping. Specific services that are major include surveying (topographic and ROW), ROW mapping, hydrologic and hydraulic design, a design study report, public involvement, erosion and sediment control plan, traffic control plan documents, plans, specifications, engineer's estimate(s), assistance with design project closeout, assistance during bidding and assistance during construction.

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately September 2025 to December 2029.  Cost of these professional services is expected to be greater than $1,000,000.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available June 12, 2025 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 4111 Aviation Avenue in Anchorage, AK. Persons residing outside the Municipality may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 269-0408.

Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received no later than July 3, 2025, prior to 4:00 p.m. prevailing time.

Individuals with disabilities, including the hearing impaired, who may need auxiliary aids, services, and/or special modifications to submit a proposal should contact the TTD number: (907) 269-0473, no later than one (1) week prior to the submittal date to make any necessary arrangements.
