RFP - Grazing of the City of Delano's Voice of America Land for Vegetation Management

The City of Delano is seeking proposals from qualified individuals to provide resource management services in the form of grazing, on approximately 793 acres of the Voice of America (VOA) land. The VOA is located within the City of Delano’s corporate boundary, two miles west of State Route 99. The area under consideration for lease includes approximately 793 acres of fenced land previously used as a transmitting station for the federal government.

Scope of Work

Lessee will be required to inspect existing fencing and repair or enhance as needed around all grazing areas as well as provide improvements throughout the range. This includes, but is not limited to, the maintenance of any fencing, access roads, and watering equipment as necessary. Only the lessee’s livestock, appropriately marked, are authorized to inhabit the leased area. Lessee will graze its livestock as needed in order to maintain the property free of wildfire danger and aesthetically acceptable to the City’s representative.

Mandatory Site Visit - A MANDATORY site visit shall be offered on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at 10 am.
