RFP for Spring 2022 Street Sweeping

Position Objectives

The Town of Williston is requesting proposals to sweep approximately 23 miles of curbed town roads. The roads are listed in Attachment A, which includes a map for reference. Only the curbed sections of the roads listed shall be swept. Road segments void of a curb shall not be swept. Debris will be collected and disposed of in a designated location agreed to by the Department of Public Works.

SPECIFICATIONS

1. Street sweeping may begin after April 1, 2022 and shall be completed no later than April
30, 2022. If weather or road conditions do not permit sweeping during this time a request
for an extension shall be made in writing and submitted to the Stormwater Coordinator,
Christine Dougherty.

2. Debris shall be collected using a vacuum assisted sweeper.

3. The collected material can be dumped at the DPW site located off of Avenue A with a
minimum 24 hour advance notice to the Towns Stormwater Coordinator, or as otherwise
arranged in advance. Access to dump site located off Avenue A is only available M-F 7:00
am – 3:30 pm EST.

4. The material collected shall be measured in cubic yards and included on all invoices.
