RFP for Antenna Site Operations and Management

Project Description: The NYCRPD, in a separate procurement, is contracting for the design, supply, and installation of a 180-foot self-supporting land mobile and cellular antenna tower to be located at the police department property at 6115 Thoman Drive, Spring Grove, Pennsylvania. Specifications for the tower and foundation require it to be designed to permit an increase in height to 250 feet above ground level.
The NYCRPD seeks to license excess space on its tower and surrounding ground space (“the NYCRPD Tower Site”) to wireless communications service providers or other entities (“Providers”) for the purpose of installing and operating wireless communications antennas, transmission lines, telecommunications equipment, and other ancillary equipment. Providers may include cellular carriers, Personal Communications Services, fixed wireless access services, backhaul services, or land mobile radio licensees. In consideration for allowing Providers access to the NYCRPD Tower Site an annual license fee will be paid to the NYCRPD for a term of five or more years.
NYCRPD seeks a contractor which will serve as the sole point of contact with Providers who seek to collocate on the NYCRPD Tower and to manage maintenance and operation of the NYCRPD Tower Site. To maximize revenue from the installation of its tower facilities and to provide enhanced wireless communication and data services to the community, NYCRPD is seeking a term agreement to obtain the exclusive services of a qualified firm (“Contractor”) to provide the scope of services described in this section of the RFP.
