Owensboro Municipal Utilities will receive request for proposals until 2:00 P.M. (CST) on

February 24, 2026 (prevailing time) at which time proposals will be opened for the:

Request for Proposal No. 26-02-006

FINANCIAL AUDIT SERVICES

OMU is requesting proposals from qualified, independent Certified Public Accounting

(CPA) firms (hereinafter also referred to as “Auditor” or “Firm”) to audit the financial

statements of 1) OMU’s Electric Light and Power System and 2) Water Works System and

the related notes to the financial statements in accordance with the specifications and

requirements contained in this RFP, as of and for the years ending May 31, 2026 through

and including May 31, 2028, with the option to renew annually for up to two (2)

additional subsequent years through May 31, 2029 and May 31, 2030, subject to

satisfactory performance.

Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU) is a public power, water and telecommunications

municipal utility serving the City of Owensboro, Kentucky; currently serving approximately

28,000 electric meters, 26,000 water meters, and 6,600 telecom connections in Daviess

County, Kentucky. OMU is a municipal utility established by the City of Owensboro and is

operated and managed by the City Utility Commission of the City of Owensboro pursuant

to the provisions of the Kentucky Revised Statues (KRS) 96.530 and KRS 96.350.
