The purpose of scope of work is to provide a feasibility study for installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for OCTA bus bases. The PV systems are intended to provide renewable energy for bus base use, reduce carbon footprint, and offset electricity costs at the bus bases. OCTA is seeking proposals from architecture and engineering firms to provide professional and technical engineering services for the feasibility study (Project). The selected architecture and engineering firm (Consultant) shall have expertise and experience in study, design, installation, inspection, and commissioning of all aspects of work scope of PV systems.
The Orange County Transportation Authority (Authority or OCTA) owns and operates the five maintenance and operations facilities (bus bases), one each in the Cities of Anaheim, Garden
Grove, Santa Ana, and two in the City of Irvine. OCTA continues to evaluate on-site solar photovoltaic renewable energy generation options to support sustainable operations.
