RFP-Exterior Painting of Thomas County Historical Courthouse

Thomas County Board of Commissioners is requesting proposals for a qualified Painting contractor to provide the necessary cleaning, preparation and painting the exterior of the Historical Courthouse located at 116 W Jefferson Street, Thomasville, GA 31792. Sealed bids will be received until 2:00, Friday, April 11, 2025, Thomas County Board of Commissioners, 116 West Jefferson Street, 2nd Floor, Room #215, Thomasville, GA 31792, or mailed to P.O. Box 920 Thomasville, GA. 31799, each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Nisha Thurman, Purchasing and marked as follows: Proposal for “Exterior Painting of Historical Courthouse”. Bids received after this time will not be considered. The Bid documents can be requested by emailing Nisha Thurman at Nisha.thurman@thomascountyga.gov or from the Thomas County Board of Commissioners website, thomascountyboc.org . Thomas County may reject any bid of any party who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any formal contract with Thomas County. Also, Thomas County reserved the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid in the bidding procedure. Thomas County will be the sole judge as to which bid is best, and in ascertaining this, will take into consideration the project experience, personnel assigned to project (Project Team), schedule for completion, and pricing for services. The proposals will be evaluated at best overall value. Pricing will be a major consideration but will not be the determining factor. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for receipt of bids for a period of (90) ninety days. Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide the manpower, supplies and equipment necessary to perform the necessary cleaning, preparation and painting the exterior of the Historical Courthouse, in strict conformity with the project plans, bidding documents and contract associated with this project. Pre-Bid Conference: There will be a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas County Board of Commissioners Office, 2 nd Floor Room 215, 116 W Jefferson Street, Thomasville, GA 31792. The Pre-Bid Conference is mandatory for anyone that will be submitting a bid.
