The City of Claremont is accepting sealed bids for the Clay Hill Water Main Phase 2 project. This project is a critical infrastructure improvement that will enhance the reliability, redundancy, and long-term performance of the City's public drinking water system along Clay Hill Road. The project is funded through the New Hampshire Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Loan Program and the New Hampshire Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund Grant Program and is subject to all applicable federal and state funding requirements

Invitation to Bid
The City of Claremont is accepting sealed bids for the Clay Hill Water Main Phase 2 project.
This project is a critical infrastructure improvement that will enhance the reliability, redundancy,
and long-term performance of the City's public drinking water system along Clay Hill Road. The
project is funded through the New Hampshire Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF)
Loan Program and the New Hampshire Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund Grant
Program and is subject to all applicable federal and state funding requirements.
Project Overview
The work generally consists of the installation of approximately:
* 1,400 linear feet of 8-inch C900 PVC water main
* 40 linear feet of 10-inch C900 PVC water main
* 75 linear feet of 6-inch C900 PVC water main
* Three (3) new fire hydrants
* Fourteen (14) new gate valves
* Water service reconnections
* Ductile iron fittings and appurtenances
* Excavation, ledge and boulder removal (as required)
* Temporary and permanent pavement restoration
* Site restoration, cleanup, and all associated incidental work necessary to complete the
project.
Project Schedule
* Bid Opening: 1:00 PM, August 5th, 2026
* Contract Award: Following City review and approval
* Notice to Proceed: To be issued following contract execution
* Substantial Completion: 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed
* Final Completion: 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed
* Liquidated Damages: $1,200 per calendar day for failure to meet either the substantial
or final completion deadlines.
Bid Requirements
* Bid Security equal to 5% of the total bid amount is required.
* The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds.
* Contractors must comply with:
o Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements
o American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements
o Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements

o EPA DBE/MBE/WBE Good Faith Effort requirements
o All applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
