Solicitation Description:

1) In accordance with the provisions of TexasGovernment Code, Chapter §2269 Subchapter D, Competitive Sealed ProposalMethod, and Rules and Procedures adopted by the Texas Facilities Commission(TFC), TFC is soliciting proposals for prime construction services for Project24-019-0405, DPS Florence Tactical Training Center (TTC) Water System.

The Department of Public Safety is planning to rehabilitate awater booster pump system situated on the Williamson County Tactical TrainingCenter located at 810 County Road 240 in Florence, Texas.  The boosterpump system has been previously disconnected from a potable water systemlocated near the administration building, which has since been connected to aseparate potable water system located near the firing range.  Thisrehabilitation project will consist of the following scope items:

• Flush and clean portion of existing 6” water main.

• Flush and clean 2000 pressure storage tank.

• Replace booster pumps, motors, valves, piping, and insulation inpump house.

• Recommission booster pump control system.

•Extend approximately 3,400 linear feet of 4” piping from pumphouse to serve location of future canine training building.

Contractor shall develop and implement a QC Plan that outlines theprocedures and protocols for ensuring the quality of all Work performed,materials used, and equipment installed. The QC plan shall include inspectionchecklists, testing protocols, and documentation requirements.

Contractor shall engage a qualified third-party inspector ortesting agency to conduct independent QA inspections and tests to verifycompliance with Project Specifications and industry standards.
