ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids for Design/Build Services for Bay Spring Avenue Culvert Rehabilitation will be received by the Town of Barrington, Rhode Island Department of Public Works, 84 Upland Way, Barrington, RI 02806 until February 21 ^st 2025 at 10am , after which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Notice to Bidders, with Specifications and the Bid Sheet for the project may be obtained at the offices of the Department of Public Works every week day except holidays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM.

Prospective bidders are hereby notified that there will be a Pre-Bid Conference at the proposed work zone on, February 10 ^th , 2025 at 10:00 AM.  This is a non-mandatory pre-bid conference.

The prevailing rate of wages for employees employed by contractors or subcontractors of building construction projects in the State of Rhode Island shall be paid wages at rates not less than those prevailing on the same type of work on similar construction in the immediate locality as indicated in RI General Law 37-13-8.

All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed and the contractor shall employ, as far as possible, such methods and means in carrying out this work will not cause interruption or interference with any other contractor.

Note:  The Town of Barrington reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any minor deviations or informality in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the Town.
