The vehicle must be made emergency response ready, equipped to support typical first responder equipment such as lights and sirens, along with a significant volume of on-board power systems, antenna masts, IT equipment, and telecommunications systems. Public Safety and Field Communications ('PSFC') is the division of the Department of Emergency Management that is responsible for the provision of mission critical public safety and public works mobile radio services. PSFC handles various contract management and technical due diligence matters, as well as user group coordination, supporting a province wide trunked mobile radio system, and various legacy technologies including Very High Frequency analog and voice paging.
