RFP: Construction Services for the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Playground Renovation

The City is seeking proposals for Construction Services to renovate the playground at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park located at 353 Court Street, Rochester, NY 14614. Work items include, but are not limited to: demolition of existing walls and berms surrounding the site; removal of existing safety surfacing; pre-teen, tot, and water play installation; installation of safety surfacing; stormwater and water utilities including catch basins and laterals; and benches, tables, and trash receptacles on concrete pads. Bid alternates include: #1 Ornamental Fence; #2 Fall Protection Fence; #3 Sensory Play Wall.

Hard copies of the bid documents may be still be viewed or purchased in person from the City of Rochester, Bureau of Purchasing. Or you can send your request for hard copies along with deposit and mailing fee to the address below. If you would like them sent to you by FedEx, please include your FedEx # in your request and the mailing fee will be waived.

Pre-Bid Conference: January 28, 2025 at 11 AM, City Hall, 30 Church Street, Room 321B, Rochester, NY 14614. All Bidders are urged to attend so that their bid is not rejected due to lack of adequate documentation.

Any statements made at the pre-bid meeting do not constitute changes in the Contract Documents. Amendments to the Contract Documents can only be accomplished by means of addenda issued by the City Engineer.

Bid Opening: February 11, 2025 at 2 PM, Bids shall be submitted only on the complete Proposal on the form provided by the City. Bids must be submitted in hard copy on the Proposal. Electronic bid submittals through BidNet will not be accepted.

Sealed Bids are to be submitted in hard copy to the Office of the Purchasing Agent, City Hall, Room 105-A, Rochester, NY 14614 prior to the closing date and time, after which all bids properly received will be opened, read and recorded.
