PURPOSE

The City of Gardner is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a new outdoor basketball court. The project includes post-tension concrete court installation, installation of outdoor benches and goals, painting of court lines, and the addition of a connecting sidewalk. Interested contractors are encouraged to thoroughly review this document to understand the instructions, procedures, and requirements.

GENERAL BACKGROUND

The City of Gardner is committed to enhancing community recreational spaces. This project will provide a high-quality outdoor basketball court for public use while ensuring accessibility through a connected sidewalk.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Respondents must submit four (4) printed copies and one (1) digital copy (USB flash drive or CD) of the proposal no later than the above time. Any proposals received after 10:00 A.M. will be deemed ineligible. Please submit the proposal in a sealed envelope.

PUBLIC BID OPENING:

All submitted proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above time at City Hall, 120 E. Main St., Gardner, KS 66030. Contractors and interested parties are invited to attend.

INQUIRIES

All inquiries concerning this RFP should be submitted to Tim Rodgers at trodgers@gardnerkansas.gov . All inquiries received will be responded to by means of addendum to this RFP and distributed via email to all known interested institutions.

DEADLINE FOR INQUIRIES

The deadline for receipt of questions from respondents is close of business on Monday, February 16, 2026. No further questions or clarifications will be provided after that date.
