Texas Unclaimed Property (UP), operated by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) is the state division tasked with managing and reporting unclaimed property and assisting claimants across the state.

UP is seeking information regarding appraisal services for a wide range of asset types, including, but not limited to, jewelry, watches, coins, artwork, sports memorabilia, and comic books. To better support accurate identification, valuation, and disposition of property, UP is interested in learning about solutions and service models that provide reliable, professional appraisals across multiple asset categories.

UP has developed this RFI to better understand the vendor landscape, types of services available, and market environment. This RFI seeks feedback and information from appraisal service providers and local organizations with a specific interest in services that can be conducted onsite.
