THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION & PRE-SOLICATION NOTICE ONLY ¿ The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for the purchase of two (2) horizontal slurry pumps and two variable frequency drives (VFD) with enclosure to include all associated hardware or components.
Salient Characteristics/Specifications
Procure and deliver:
1.        Two Each - Horizontal Slurry Pumps:
a.        Design flow of 3,400 gallons per minute (gpm)
b.        Design total dynamic head (TDH) of 40 feet
c.        Discharge pipe diameter is 8 inches.
d.        Suction pipe diameter is 10 inches
e.        Fluid is sediment laden water (clays, sands, and small gravels)
f.        Maximum particle sphere size is 75 mm.
g.        Impellers should be elastomer or rubber lined
h.        Two 75-hp 3-phase motors (480V) with rated speed of 1,750 revolutions per minute (rpm).
NOTE: No skid plate is required as these pumps & motor assemblies sit directly on a concrete floor and are meant to be mobilized to various locations around the laboratory.
2.        Two Each - Variable Frequency Drives (VFD):
a. 75 hp, 480V, 3-phase motor:
b. Include NEMA 1 enclosures and mitigation for surging harmonics.
This Notice is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This Pre-solicitation Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever.
The Bureau of Reclamation is not seeking quotes at this time but for information on responsible parties who are capable of providing requested equipment. For interest parties please provide your UEI number, socioeconomic standing (i.e. small business or other than small business), and if possible salient characteristic of equipment solution.
Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Pre-solicitation Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. Responses to the Pre-solicitation Notice will not be returned. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S Government to form a binding contract. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to continue to monitor the SAM Opportunities (www.sam.gov) site.
The Bureau of Reclamation, Service Office, Denver, Colorado plans to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order with a delivery within 90 Days of an award. This Pre-solicitation Notice seeks to provide and obtain information of potential interested parties regarding our requirement. This office plans to post a solicitation on or about June 27, 2025
