The TexasDepartment of Public Safety (TXDPS) is seeking current information to performmarket research related to advanced Identity and Access Management (IAM)solution with a primary focus on delivering comprehensive Identity Governance. While our current ecosystem relies solely on Microsoft Active Directory as the"User Source of Truth," our goal is to modernize identity managementby extending capabilities across cloud, SaaS, on premises, and legacyenvironments. This new identityecosystem will likely not be a single vendor solution but requires an identitycore to be central to the integration of other components of the ecosystem.
A significantemphasis of this RFI is the implementation of a robust Zero Trust securitymodel. The solution must be designed around the principle of "never trust, always verify"—ensuring that every access request is dynamicallyauthenticated, authorized, and verified before granting access. This approach,in tandem with advanced identity governance, automated workflows, and real timeanalytics, will enhance our overall security posture while maintainingcompliance with key regulatory standards such as CJIS, NIST SP 800 63, PCI DSS,and HIPAA.
