Project Description: Youth Salmon Bake
The Quinault Division of Natural Resources is seeking bids from individuals or companies to prepare salmon over a stick
fire at Haynisisoos Point on Monday, July 13, 2026. The salmon back is for the tribal youth participants in a grant-funded
summer Wildlife Youth Education Program where youth will be camping at Haynisisoos Point for a 4-day outdoor and
wilderness school. The selected bidder will be provided with 12 bluebacks for the meal. Dinner will need to be ready to
be served at 6pm. A separate RFP will cover the side dishes and plates/utensils associated with this meal. The total
number of individuals served will be 39 people.
In your bid, please specify the cost of your services and the costs of any supplies you may need separate from plates and
utensils for the meal.
Scope of work
* Monday, July 13th:
- Cook 12 blueback (fish provided by contract officer) in a traditional manner-on a stick over fire-at
Haynisisoos Point, ready to be served at 6pm.
Qualifications
* Food handlers permit for all that will be prepping and cooking food
* Must have cooked for large gatherings at least twice before this event (please describe your experience in
your bid submission)
* QIN Business License
Indian Contractor Preference
Preference will be given to Indian Contractors. Please specify in the proposal If bidders are Quinault (with enrollment
number), Supporting Quinault, Other Indian, or Non-Tribal.
Submission of Bids
* Description of qualifications, including your experience cooking for large gatherings (20+ people)
* Anticipated menu with costs, with a breakdown labor and supplies if needed.
* 3 references
Bids are due Sunday, June 28th, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. and must be submitted to
Cora Pope at 1214 Aalis Dr, Taholah WA 98587 or emailed to bids@quinault.org
with the subject line "Youth Salmon Bake 2026". Please cc
kphillips@quinault.org when submitting bids. Please provide a W-9, Food
Handler's Permit, and 2026 QIN Business License with your bid, if possible, to
