Project Description: Preparation of Side Dishes for Youth Event Dinners
The Quinault Division of Natural Resources is seeking bids from individuals or companies to prepare, cook, and
serve corresponding side dishes for two dinners that will take place on Monday, July 13th, and Tuesday, July 14th,
2026. These dinners are for tribal youth participants in a grant-funded summer Wildlife Youth Education Program
where youth will be camping at Haynisisoos Point for a 4-day outdoor and wilderness school.
The main dish for Monday’s dinner will be blueback cooked on a stick over a fire (blueback preparation covered by
a separate contract). The main dish for Tuesday’s dinner will be elk steaks cooked traditionally over a fire (elk meat
preparation also covered by a separate contract). The menu for dishes to accompany the blueback meal and the
elk steak meal is of your choosing, but should compliment the two dinners.
There will be 24 tribal youth from 6 tribes around the peninsula, 15 staff/chaperones, and the potential for
additional guests at dinnertime. Please prepare enough food for 45 guests.
A check can be provided in advance for the purchase of food and supplies from the vendor of your choice, or a PO
to Swanson’s can be provided.
Additionally, bidders will need to provide options for youth with dietary restrictions. We will inform you of any
dietary restrictions at a later date, once individual participants are confirmed.
