RFB-2824 Iron Castings
Description:

1. GENERAL: Materials in this section shall meet the applicable requirements of the various NYSDOT Standard Specification Sections 715 and 726 and shall be furnished in the sizes or combination of sizes indicated or ordered by the Owner.

2. MATERIALS: This specification describes the minimum material quality requirements for:
a) Self-Leveling Manhole Frame Assembly with 24-inch diameter cover as manufactured by EJ Products, Model 1205, 1037, 3024 and 1040 or equal. Units shall be rated for HS-20 live load.
b) Detectable Warning Units:
i) Raised detectable warning units shall meet all requirements of ADA. NYSDOT approved Cast Iron Tactile Strips shall be the only approved material for this item.
ii) NYSDOT 726-01 Surface Applied Detectable Warning Units
iii) NYSDOT 726-02 Embedded Detectable Warning Units
