RFB ERO LIB #11-F-4-23/24 - Washington Road Safe Route To Schools (SRTS)
This project involves the construction of approximately 2,000 linear feet of sidewalk that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The sidewalk will parallel Washington Road (MD 32) on the east side of the roadway and extend from Washington Lane south to Kate Wagner Road. Project activities include 10 ADA ramps, 600 linear feet of crosswalk markings, 2 driveway entrances and a pedestrian signal to be installed at the Kate Wagner Road/Washington Road intersection.; traffic control; and permanent stabilization. PREQUALIFICATION: To be prequalified, prior to bid opening, through the Carroll County Department of Public Works. Prequalification applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to bid opening to allow adequate time for processing. Contact the Bureau of Engineering at 410-386-2157 to obtain necessary paperwork or go to https://www.carrollcountymd.gov/government/directory/public-works/engineering/. Scroll to the very bottom for the Prequalification Application. Please verify your license is current with the Bureau of Engineering and a copy is on file. Failure to provide a current license can result in your prequalification being disqualified, therefore rejection of the bid. Bidders must provide at least two (2) contact names and phone numbers for references for the type of work applicable to the project. Bidders must show evidence of reliable experience in saw cutting, stripping, and resurfacing existing pavement. Additionally linear sidewalk concrete placement, grading and excavation, installation of sub-grade drains and storm drains with outfalls. Evidence of related experience must be submitted with prequalification paperwork.
