Roof Replacement with :

INSTALLATION Metal Ladders
RAILINGS - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A. Design, fabricate, and test railing assemblies in accordance with the most stringent
requirements of applicable local code

Carpentry:

BLOCKING, NAILERS, AND SUPPORTS
A. Provide framing and blocking members as indicated or as required to support finishes,
fixtures, specialty items, and trim.
B. In framed assemblies that have concealed spaces, provide solid wood fireblocking as required
by applicable local code, to close concealed draft openings between floors and between top
story and roof/attic space; other material acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction may be
used in lieu of solid wood blocking.
C. In metal stud walls, provide continuous blocking around door and window openings for
anchorage of frames, securely attached to stud framing.

Install vapor retarder to deck surface with adhesive in accordance with manufacturer's
instructions.
1. Extend vapor retarder under cant strips and blocking to deck edge.
2. Install flexible flashing from vapor retarder to air seal material of wall construction, lap
and seal to provide continuity of the air barrier plane.

INSTALLATION Sheet metal and Flashing
A. Apply plastic cement compound between metal flashings and felt flashings.
B. Fit flashings tight in place; make corners square, surfaces true and straight in planes, and
lines accurate to profiles.
C. Seal metal joints watertight

Roof Specialties:

INSTALLATION
A. Install components in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and NRCA (RM) applicable
requirements.
B. Seal joints within components when required by component manufacturer

Anchor components securely.
D. Conform to SMACNA Architectural Sheet Metal Manual drawing details.
E. Coordinate installation of components of this section with installation of roofing membrane and
base flashings.
F. Coordinate installation of sealants and roofing cement with work of this section to ensure
water tightness.
G. Coordinate installation of flashing flanges into reglets.
