2025-015 RFB CATS Headquarters Site Construction

The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners Purchasing Department (County) is requesting competitive sealed bids in support of construction of two surface parking lots, stormwater conveyance and detention, and all associated utilities, meeting the plans and specifications and as described herein. The total disturbed area for the project is 6.8 acres. This site construction project will support future construction of a proposed Cherokee Area Transit Service (CATS) administration and training facility.

There will be a mandatory pre-bid and job walk conducted at the site of the work on February 3, 2025, at 10AM at 1260 UNIVETER ROAD, CANTON, GA 30115, meeting first in the Maulding Park parking lot (the address above) and then walking to the Northeast corner of the work site.

A Maximum of One Hundred and Eighty (180) calendar days have been set aside for construction. Within this schedule, trees must be downed within thirty (30) calendar days of the issuance of a Notice to Proceed.

Right of Way and easements are secured. All permits have been applied for, and it is anticipated that approval will occur within the bidding window. Contractor will pull permits, but will not be charged a fee for any County issued permits.
