2026 Resurfacing Project - Bonner Springs, KS

I. Purpose.

The project includes a Milling and Overlay of approximately 35,691 Square Yards of City Streets and 2,473 Square Yards of City Parking Lots. Included in the project is 100 square yards of full-depth 6” patching if needed. All Traffic Control and resident notices are the responsibility of the Contractor.

The City reserves the right to request up to 100 ton of asphalt millings to be delivered to the Public Works yard located at 12401 Kaw Drive in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

II. Estimated Time Table For Selection / Implementation.

Thursday, July 02, 2026 Notice to Bidders published in the WYCO Echo

Thursday, July 16, 2026, 3:00 p.m. Bids are due at City Clerk’s office and Bid Opening

Monday, July 27, 2026 Award by City Council

III. Scope of Services.

Work shall be completed as specified below and in the specifications and requirements. The contractor shall be responsible for all traffic control, temporary detours if required, signage as necessary, and public notification (24-48 hours).

VI. Submission Deadline.

Interested contractors shall submit one (1) sealed copy of their Bid Form and (1) separately sealed Bid Bond to: City Clerk, City of Bonner Springs, P.O. Box 38, 200 East Third Street, Bonner Springs, KS 66012. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope: “2026 Resurfacing Project”. Bids must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2026.
