2024 Restroom Renovation Package

The City of Seattle is seeking proposals for 2024 Restroom Renovation Package . Proposals are due no later than 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 . All questions are to be submitted through the e-procurement portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/seattle no later than 12:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2024 .

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is seeking professional services to complete renovations and necessary upgrades to existing restroom facilities in the City of Seattle. The facilities are at the following locations:

Gilman Playground Shelterhouse Renovation

Lakewood Playground Restroom Renovation

Lakewood Park, 5013 S Angeline St, Seattle, WA, 98118

Salmon Bay Playground Restroom Renovation

Salmon Bay Park, 2000 NW Sloop Pl, Seattle, WA, 98117

Sandel Playground Shelterhouse Renovation

Sandel Playground, 9053 1st Ave NW, Seattle, WA, 98117

Seward Park Beach Restroom Renovation

Seward Park, 5900 Lake Washington Blvd S, Seattle, WA, 98118

Seattle Parks and Recreation is seeking qualified design professionals to assess and design improvements to stand alone restroom structures in five parks as follows:

Gilman Playground Shelterhouse Renovation

Roof and flashing repair, gutter replacement, repaint window frames and panels, paint interior walls and ceiling, patch if necessary. refinish floor with epoxy coating. Modifications to create accessibility compliance toilet stalls. Update lighting. Update accessible route to each restroom.

Lakewood Playground Restroom Renovation

Revise current restrooms to single occupant use to meet accessibly standards. Update accessible path between the restrooms and the intersection of South Angelina Street and 51st Avenue South to meet accessibility standards.

Salmon Bay Playground Restroom Renovation

Remedy deteriorated exterior CMU walls, metal entry gate, and metal roofing., and paint interior walls. Update plumbing fixtures. Improve and provide accessibility route from the play area to the restrooms.

Sandel Playground Shelterhouse Renovation

Roof replacement, modifications to the entry doors, refinishing the floor, substantial accessibility upgrades, and replacement of the light fixtures. Revise roof overhang vertical clearance where is less than 80” minimum. Completely renovate restroom to improve conditions and update facility to ADA standards, including non-gender-specific accessible use.

Seward Park Beach Restroom Renovation

Update accessible path from main loop trail to this facility. Improve ventilation and appearance. Note this structure is a potential historic landmark. Provide path and improve landings. Add louvers to windows. Add ceramic tile to walls, patch floor and reroute plumbing vent through storage area. Tuck point and seal exterior walls where needed.
