Solicitation Summary
This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is issued to procure the goods or services, as specified in this Section 2, from a contract between the selected bidder(s) and the State of Maryland (“State”). The project budget is $100,000 from the Chesapeake Bay Trust, covering design, construction, and plant procurement, and while construction permits are not required for the state hospital, bidders must have the necessary licensing required to complete the project.
Springfield Hospital Center (SHC) is seeking a qualified engineering and conservation landscaping firm to design, plan, and oversee the transformation of the McKeldin Courtyard into a therapeutic pollinator garden. The selected contractor will be responsible for all phases of project implementation, including site assessment, master plan development, demolition, construction, and landscape installation. The project’s goal is to create an environmentally sustainable, restorative outdoor space that provides therapeutic benefits for SHC patients, staff, and visitors.
