2026 Residential Mill and Overlay - Leawood, KS

Sealed bids shall be received by the City of Leawood, Kansas, at the office of the City Clerk until 2:00 PM, Central Standard Time on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, for the construction of the 2026 Residential Mill & Overlay Project. The work shall include pavement milling, curb and gutter replacement, subgrade repairs and asphalt paving for multiple residential streets.

All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the City Clerk, City of Leawood, 4800 Town Center Drive, Leawood, Kansas 66211, and shall be clearly marked "2026 RESIDENTIAL MILL & OVERLAY”. At the above stated time and place, all bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the designated closing time will be returned unopened.

Copies of the Contract Documents are on file and available for viewing at: Drexel Technologies ePlan room ( https://www.drexeltech.com ) under 2026 RESIDENTIAL MILL & OVERLAY, Project# 00012, City of Leawood. Contractors desiring Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may obtain a set of such documents from the plan room for a non-refundable fee.

Each bidder shall file with their bid proposal a cashier's check, certified check, or bid proposal bond, drawn on an acceptable bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.

Nonresident corporations that are not already registered with the Kansas Secretary of State, and all nonresident individuals and partnerships are required by law to register with the Director of Revenue, State Office Building, Topeka, Kansas, and to pay a fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each and every contract, as a precedent to commencing work on the contract. For contracts in excess of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) the foreign contractor shall file with the Director of Revenue an acceptable bond in amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract.

No bid may be withdrawn within a period of thirty (30) calendar days from and after the date fixed for opening bids.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein.
