2026 Residential Life Dorm Projects - General Construction

Binghamton University is a seeking a contractor to perform work in 2 of our dormitory buildings: Brandywine and Choconut.

Brandywine

Remove and dispose of existing bathroom medicine cabinets in 30 apartments. Infill, tape and paint walls then install surface mounted mirrors provided by Binghamton University. Remove and dispose of existing wire shelving in all apartment bedrooms& pantries throughout. Install Binghamton University supplied wire shelving. Remove and dispose all accordion closet and pantry doors and tracks. Patch, prep and paint on all walls & doors in all apartment rooms, common hallways, cluster areaways, lounge and laundry area. Paint standard Susquehanna color w/accent at kitchen (color to be provided)

Choconut Offices

Remove and dispose of all accordion doors and tracks at closets and pantries. Patch & prep for paint on all walls and doors. Paint standard Susquehanna Community Color. Remove and dispose of Kitchen Cabinetry, Countertops, bathroom fixtures, and associated plumbing. Minor demolition of walls. Demo portions of the ceiling and install new. Cut hole in existing masonry wall for new PTAC units. Units installed by HVAC contractor. Provide and install blcoking for new PTAC units, units installed by HVAC contractor. Frame new walls and prep for paint. Remove entry lighting, reinstall one salvaged light. Install new switches and designated outlets for PTAC units. Install salvaged doors and doors provided by BU.
