Residential Food Waste Collection Pilot Project

Orange County’s Office of Sustainability & Resilience and Solid Waste Division are partnering together to initiate a small pilot residential food waste collection project. The goal of the project is to provide a residential food waste pick-up service for program participants who are interested in diverting compostable waste from the landfill, but do not want or do not have the ability to compost at home. County staff will be hosting an Industry Day to share additional project details, ask questions of vendors who are potentially interested in providing this service, and receive feedback from industry representatives regarding project scope.
