| Solicitation Document Description: | This RFT is an invitation by the City to prospective Suppliers to submit bids for the performance of the Work for Bridge Rehabilitation of Old Mill Road over pedestrian crossing (ID 636), as further described in Part 3 (DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS) and the Contract (the "Project").including but not limited to survey and layout; utility locates; and provision of access, protection, and support systems. It involves removal of existing elements such as duct bank covers, light fixtures, railings, asphalt, waterproofing, deteriorated concrete, walkway pavers, and selected portions of abutments, wingwalls, and toe walls. Existing utilities will be protected, temporary supports installed, and excavation carried out as required. Rehabilitation works include installation of new luminaires, concrete patching and crack injection, deck waterproofing and asphalt placement, staged refacing of abutments, and refacing of wingwalls and toe walls. The project also includes placement of granular backfill, reinstatement of walkways, salvage and reinstatement of armour stones and duct bank covers, and application of concrete sealer to rehabilitated elements. |

All Suppliers are advised that there will be no formal site meetings. However, by submitting Bids, Suppliers acknowledge that they have familiarized themselves with the Project and have ascertained the full extent of the Work required including, but not limited to, all existing site conditions and other pertinent information affecting the Work.
