GENERAL INFORMATION AND BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Sealed bids for solid laundry chemicals and water-powered dispensing system are to be delivered to the Sheriff’s Department Hampden Jail and House of Corrections, 627 Randall Road, Ludlow, MA 01056, and will be received until Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Sheriff’s Department Hampden Purchasing Department, Room 252, 627 Randall Road, Ludlow, MA 01056, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in front of one or more witnesses. For specifications, call 413-858-0121. All bids submitted must be clearly marked in

the lower left-hand corner of the envelope,

RFR Number 417, Solid Laundry Chemicals and Water-Powered Dispensing System, Deadline: March 11, 2026, 2:00 PM.

The contract will be awarded within 45 days unless the time for award is extended by mutual consent of the parties.

If any changes are made to this Request for Response (RFR), an addendum will be issued. Addenda will be mailed or emailed to all bidders on record as having been issued the RFR.

Questions concerning the RFR must be submitted in writing to: Mary Pastore, 627 Randall Road, Ludlow, MA 01056, mary.pastore@sdh.state.ma.us, before 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Questions may be delivered, mailed, or emailed. Written responses will be mailed or emailed to all bidders on record as having been issued the RFR.

The Sheriff’s Department Hampden may cancel this RFR, or reject in whole or in part any and all bids, if the Sheriff’s Department Hampden determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interest of Sheriff’s Department Hampden.
