Request for Quotation for Ice Surface Lighting Replacement
Synopsis:

The Ridge Runner Arena is located at 20 Sharman Street in Springside, Saskatchewan. The natural ice surface of the Ridge Runner Arena is currently lit with 8’ T-12 high output fixtures. Since these lights are fluorescent and operate in a cold facility, they do not provide instant full brightness and must be turned on 1-2 hours prior to the facility being used. Additionally, the lighting is very dim due to low output. The Town of Springside (Town) and the Springside Recreation Association (SRA) are seeking quotes for the replacement of the existing ice surface lighting at the Ridge Runner Arena, as detailed in the scope of work.

Additional Information:

Scope of Work:

Removal and disposal of existing overhead lighting system on ice surface.
Rewire from the breaker box to install new high-bay luminaires for commercial and industrial buildings.
Include in the quote all labour costs associated with the purchase and installation of new LED lighting system including electrical, wiring, removal and disposal of existing lighting, inspections, costs associated with necessary modifications of electrical panel and disposal of debris associated with the project.
Provide additional recommendations and pricing including energy efficient suggestions.
It is recommended that bidders inspect the building prior to submitting the quote, however, the Town and SRA will not be responsible for any costs related to providing a bid.
Bidders should be aware that the Town and SRA require that this work be completed prior to December 5, 2025 so that the new lighting is installed for the 2025-2026 ice season.
