REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The Stark County Commissioners intend to contract for Professional Engineering Services related to
Electrical Design Services for the Stark County Fairgrounds 80-acre campus located at 305 Wertz
Ave. N.W., Canton, Ohio 44708. Engineering Firms interested in being considered for a contract to
provide electrical site design to upgrade the campus site power distribution and lighting system with a
new underground electrical distribution system and energy efficient LED site lighting as a multiple
phased project for the Stark County Fairgrounds site should reply with a statement of qualifications no
later than 3:00pm on May 29, 2026. Statements received after the deadline will not be considered.
Statements of qualification should include information regarding the firm's history, education and
experience of the owners and key technical personnel who will be assigned to the project, the technical
expertise of the firm's current staff, the firm's experience in designing a campus underground
distribution system and energy efficient site lighting for a county fairground, the firm's equipment and
facilities, the firm's proximity to the project location, and any previous work performed for any
agency of Stark County Government.
Statement of qualifications should be transmitted to the Stark County Commissioners, 110 Central
Plaza South, Suite 240, Canton, Ohio 44702, Attention Jennifer Odey. As required by the Ohio
Revised Code, Section 153.66 et seq., responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their
qualifications. Following this evaluation, the Stark County Commissioners will enter contract
negotiations with the most highly ranked firm, based on the above criteria for this project.
