County of Sacramento Request for Qualifications (RFQ)
Mather Airport Navigational Aid (NAVAID) Communications Equipment Maintenance and Repair Services
RFQ No.: 2024-RFQ-0419
The County of Sacramento invites qualified vendors to participate in a formal Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to provide maintenance and repair services for the Mather Airport Navigational Aid (NAVAID) and Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) communications equipment. This RFQ is a qualification-only process designed to identify vendors who meet the necessary Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensure and certification requirements for maintaining critical equipment such as the ILS, AWOS, RVR, and DME systems at Mather Airport.
Purpose
Through this RFQ, the County aims to fast-track the vendor qualification process. Once qualified, vendors may be eligible for future solicitation processes, including but not limited to a Request for Bid (RFB), Request for Proposal (RFP), or direct negotiations. The County reserves the right to engage in negotiations with a single vendor if only one response is received. All responding vendors will be thoroughly vetted to ensure compliance with the required qualifications.
Vendor Requirements
To be evaluated as a qualified vendor, interested companies must perform the following steps by the submission deadline:
1. Download and complete the Mather NAVAID Qualification Questionnaire, available in the vendor submission section of this solicitation.
2. Review and sign the Draft Contract for NAVAID 2024-RFQ-0419 available for download in the vendor submission section.
3. Answer all other questions in the vendor submission section to demonstrate compliance with the FCC and FAA requirements and provide any additional requested information.
Next Steps
Qualified vendors will be considered for future solicitations at the County’s discretion. The County reserves the right to reissue a solicitation or engage in direct negotiations with a qualified vendor. In cases where only one response is received, the County may opt to proceed with direct engagement.
Submission Deadline
All required documents must be submitted by 11:00 AM,PST on Friday, October 18, 2024.
This RFQ presents a unique opportunity for qualified vendors to establish an agreement with the County of Sacramento for the maintenance and repair of vital NAVAID and ATCT equipment at Mather Airport.
We encourage all eligible vendors to respond promptly.
