NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ON-CALL PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES

The Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, Division of Arkansas State Parks, is soliciting qualifications from responses from qualified consultants to provide basic professional on-call engineering design services under a design professional contract as defined by the Division of Building Authority’s Minimum Standards and Criteria 22 CAR.§111 - 201. (DBA MSC) for Improvements/Repair/Renovation projects at Various State Parks. If required, engineering or architectural design services may be subcontracted by the prime Design Professional.
Professional Services required include but are not limited to: Review of Agency’s Program and Budget, Code Analysis, Cost Estimating, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Development; Regulatory Agency Review Submittals; Advertisement and Bidding, Contract Administration, Project Observations, and Project Closeout.
A detailed request for qualifications (RFQ) package will be provided to interested parties outlining the submittal requirements and selection methodology. Submittals shall include, but are not limited to, description of general and specific experiences related to the proposed projects, a list of current contracts with state agencies and higher education institutions in Arkansas, proof of professional and general liability insurance, firm size and description of personnel, resumes of key personnel directly involved with the contract, and proof of registration or licensing by the appropriate bonds in Arkansas. Responses received for the RFQ will be used to screen prospective consultants and select finalists for interview in accordance with the Division of Building Authority’s Minimum Standards and Criteria 22 CAR §111-105. ASP reserves the right to negotiate fees on a percentage basis, lump sum basis or an hourly not-to-exceed basis on individual project assignments as appropriate for the contemplated work.
