This Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) is issued by the City of Toronto (the “City”) to invite Applicants to prepare and submit Prequalification Submissions to perform work for the Project using a type of construction management project delivery model for Gardiner Expressway Rehabilitation Project Section 5 - Cherry Street to the
Don Valley Parkway project (GS5). GS5 focuses on the realignment of the Gardiner and Lake Shore Boulevard East between Cherry Street and the Don Valley Parkway. Major scope includes: • Construction of a new elevated expressway on a new alignment. • Realignment of Lake Shore Boulevard East from Cherry Street to the Don River including utility relocation. • Construction of two new ramps, connecting new Lake Shore Boulevard East to the Gardiner • Construction of the North Linear Open Space north of the realigned Lake Shore Boulevard East. • Construction of a new seawall on the east side of the Don River between Sunlight Park Road and the DVP ramps • Rehabilitation of the piers and soffit of the Metrolinx Bridge over the DVP. • Demolition of the existing Gardiner structure. |
