Summary

Greenwood County (“Owner”) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from firms interested in providing Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the Buzzard's Roost Emergency Spillway Remediation Project.

These statements will be utilized by Greenwood County to evaluate each interested firm by utilizing the criteria outlined in this Request for Qualifications. Greenwood County reserves the right to select multiple firms for further evaluation. Additional evaluation may include interviews and/or the preparation of a proposal after project-specific information is provided.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

Greenwood County owns the Buzzard's Roost Hydroelectric facility, which is a project regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission(FERC). As a part of maintaining compliance with the FERC, Greenwood County will be replacing the existing fuse plug structure. The proposed design is a combination of earthen embankment and a concrete spillway with an armored channel. Due to the nature of this project, experience with hydroelectric facilities, heavy civil projects, and geotechnical work is preferred.
