Request for Qualifications: Architectural Services

The Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corporation (SEEC) is seeking proposals from qualified architectural firms to provide professional design and consulting services for upcoming projects funded under the NY Forward Program. The selected firm will play a key role in ensuring historically sensitive renovations that align with the community’s vision for growth, sustainability, and the advancement of low-carbon, energy-efficient design. NY certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) are strongly encouraged to apply.

The selected architectural firm will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following services:

•Conducting project assessments and initial property owner consult for historical and mixed-usecommercial buildings in the designated Village of Sharon Springs NY Forward Area.
•Assisting with scope of work prior to releasing bid documents, specifically, providing architecturaldesign services that oversee and align with historical preservation standards.
•Developing construction documents, stamped plans, and specifications, as needed at additional cost.
•Review and online submission to the Cultural Resource Information System ensuring compliance withlocal, state, and federal regulations, specifically, New York State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO)guidelines.
•Coordinating with property owners, environmental professionals, engineers, contractors, municipalofficials and SEEC to advance projects, as needed.
•Overseeing the implementation of energy-efficient and sustainable building practices to meet the NYForward guidelines that are subject to the decarbonization requirements as a project managed throughNY Homes and Community Renewal (NYHCR).
