The City of Gardner is requesting qualified contractors to submit proposals for Unit 2 Turbine Major Inspection including LA to R Upgrade, Generator Inspection and Cooling System Improvements.

This project does qualify for sales tax exemption for purchasing equipment, materials, and supplies.
A mandatory site visit will be required for each firm to conduct and evaluate current equipment installation to determine the best approach in the Proposal.

Proposals will be accepted by the City of Gardner, Kansas Utilities Department until 11:00 AM (local time) October 30, 2024.  At 11:00 AM the proposals will be taken under advisement, and the names of respondents will be made available for public record; all other information is confidential until contract negotiations are completed.
All proposals shall be submitted digitally to the City of Gardner Utilities Department.  Proposals are preferred to be submitted by mail or via email at utilities_department@gardnerkansas.gov .  Email submittal shall have "Unit 2 Upgrade, Project EL4011" in the subject line.
Proposals will also be accepted by submitting printed hard copy with a digital copy provided on USB storage device in sealed envelopes to the City of Gardner Utilities Department at 1150 E Santa Fe Street, Gardner, Kansas, 66030.  The sealed envelope for proposals shall be addressed to the City of Gardner Utilities Department, Attention: Gonz Garcia, marked "Proposal for: Unit 2 Upgrade, Project EL4011".
Any proposal received after the designated closing time will not be considered.
Copies of plans and specifications can be seen or purchased for a Non-Refundable fee online at https://planroom.drexeltech.com in their eDistribution plan room.  Additional assistance is available at distribution@drexeltech.com .  Information regarding this project can be found in the "Public Jobs" link on the website.  Proposer desiring the Documents for use in preparing proposals may also obtain a set of such documents from Drexel Technologies; 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, telephone number is 913-371-4430.  Documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges.  Corporate, certified, or cashier's checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies, Inc.
