PROJECT OVERVIEW

WS/FCS is seeking competitive proposals for the purchase of surplus technology laptops. The district is looking for a solution to dispose of all recently retired employee laptops. The proposal should include a full ‘turnkey’ process including packaging and pickup of the assets, value assessment, wiping current hard drive clean of data, providing a certificate of data erasure, and payment.

BID SUBMISSION SPECIFICATIONS

• BIDS DUE: Tuesday, July 22, 2025, 12pm EST

• BID REQUIREMENTS:

  • For the proposal to be fully considered, vendors must include the following in their proposal:

    • Scope of work including items, tasks, and expectations WS/FCS can expect. Should cover listed items under ‘Project Requirements. Estimated project completion time from start to finish.

    • Total up-front payment amount on an "as-is" lot prior to pick up.

    • Example certificate of data destruction.

    • At least 3 Business references from other districts (NCK12 preferred) or organizations comparable in size to this bid.

• BID SUBMISSION:

  • All proposals must be delivered by 12pm EST, Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

  • All proposals must be submitted electronically (as attachment) to the following email address: techrfp@wsfcs.k12.nc.us.

    • Include the following in the email subject: RFP-260-06242025-TECH-SURPLUS25

  • You should receive a bid receipt within 4 hours of submission. If you don’t receive a receipt, it is your responsibility to follow up with an inquiry to techrfp@wsfcs.k12.nc.us.

• WS/FCS reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals submitted without reason. Implementation and purchase may be dependent upon WS/FCS receiving approved funding from USAC.
