Description
The City of Mission is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to develop a Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP) tailored to the safety-related needs and opportunities identified in its 2023 Comprehensive Plan. The TSAP will provide a framework of innovative strategies and implementation actions intended to reduce transportation-related fatalities and serious injuries while also supporting federal safety initiatives. The TSAP will identify safety issues and specific actions that can be implemented to improve safety for people traveling by any mode throughout the City. The plan will develop recommendations for both motorized and non-motorized modes in the roadway network as well as other elements including land use, transit, freight, and other community factors to create a comprehensive course of action. The plan will address federal and state regulations, including design guidance as well as performance management goals, measures, and targets, and will promote equitable outcomes. Proposals must be received in the Public Works Office by 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on February 13, 2025. Proposals can be hand delivered or mailed to: City of Mission, Attn: Stephanie Boyce, 4775 Lamar Avenue, Mission, KS 66202.
Questions relating to this RFP and any requests for clarification, and/or additional information deemed necessary by any responding firm shall be submitted in writing via email and directed to Stephanie Boyce.
All information requests and/or clarifications received prior to 4:00 pm on February 7, 2025, will be responded to in writing by the City and addressed to all known interested firms though Drexel Technologies. No proposals will be accepted after 2:00 pm on February 13, 2025.
