Alberta Health, in conjunction with Alberta Health Services and Alberta Infrastructure, has initiated a project to redevelop the RDRHC (“RDRHC Redevelopment Project”). The overall RDRHC Redevelopment Project includes new construction and renovations on the existing site and will result in an increase of 200 beds for the facility. During the RDRHC Redevelopment Project, the hospital will remain in operation, necessitating the close coordination with the AHS staff.

The RDRHC Redevelopment Project consists of the following two projects:
a. New Ambulatory Services Building
b. Modernization and Expansion of Inpatient Services (not in scope).

For greater certainty, the RDRHC Redevelopment Project is being split into the two separate projects noted above and the Province is issuing this RFP to select a Construction Manager defined in Section 1.5 below) for the New Ambulatory Services Building only. For the purposes of this RFP, the term “Project” refers to the New Ambulatory Services Building.
