REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - Airport Way and Sixth Street Traffic Signal Installation Synchronization

The project proposes to replace the current one way stop sign at the T-intersection of Airport Way and Sixth Street with a traffic signal to reduce congestion, including synchronization to City infrastructure throughout the intersections along Airport Way from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd to Arch Airport Road. Currently the intersection operates at a level of service (LOS) D experiencing peak congestion between 7:00am and 7:30pm during weekday hours. Airport Way is an existing two-way median barrier separated road running northwest/southeast bound traffic. Sixth Street is a residential corridor connecting east/west bound traffic to Airport Way.
