The County of Marin is seeking the services of a qualified design firm to perform an accessibility assessment, prepare design and construction documents, and provide construction support for the Marin County Juvenile Hall Accessibility Update project. The objective of the Juvenile Hall Accessibility Update project is to identify and address accessibility compliance deficiencies in the Juvenile Hall facility. All building and exterior spaces utilized by residents, staff and visitors will be included in the scope of the project. Specific building elements to be address include but are not limited to parking areas, paths of travel, restrooms and showers, drinking fountains, raised platforms/stages, doors and door hardware, fixed furniture and counters, communications/lighting/HVAC controls, and building signage. Identifying project scope, facilitating design, and implementing construction are all necessary components. Close collaboration with the Probation Department staff is critical throughout the process.
